Aether is my fragrance experiment co-created over many years with a beautiful colleague from the Studio HQ. It’s a blend of Tasmanian botanticals designed to be both grounding and uplifting.
Aether was born to be The Studio HQ’s signature scent. It is was being used in the Studio’s diffusers for a few months before I decided to take the plunge and create a “brand” and design some products.
The Aether range includes a room spray, reed diffusers, a perfume roller and essential oils. The branding is intentionally minimal evoking a Tom Ford vibe.
The name Aether comes from Greek philosophy. Aether is the pure, divine substance that filled the heavens and connected the physical and spiritual realms. It was considered the element of balance and harmony, existing beyond earth, water, fire, and air. Aristotle described it as the celestial energy that made up the stars and the space beyond the clouds.
I’d like to think that our uniquely Tasmanian blend of Kunzea, Lemon Myrtle and Lavender Tea Tree gives the smeller a sense of that harmony.
